We’re beyond excited to launch the Sui Move Bootcamp thanks to an education grant from Sui Foundation. Our goal is to onboard at least 1,000 developers to Sui Move and help them build projects in a 3-month period. We aim to see the impact and expand the program even further to provide the best onboarding experience to Sui Move for developers worldwide.
We were inspired by Damir Shamanaev’s Sui Move workshops in Istanbul last January and started talking about a bigger education program. Finally, here we are!
Why should you apply?
Any developer who’s interested in the Sui Move language should apply.
We love Sui Move because it has a friendly and intuitive syntax that makes it easy to learn and write. Also, with Sui objects, creating assets on the blockchain has never been easier!
How does the bootcamp work?
🌍 The bootcamp is completely online and free! Developers will learn in cohorts, where they’ll meet with their peers, ask questions in dedicated and closed Discord channels, and meet with mentors weekly.
⌛ Each cohort takes 3 weeks to complete. So, within 3 weeks, you can push your first open-source project on GitHub using the Sui Move language!
🤩 The first cohort will start on 27 October 2023. Apply here by 24 October 2023!
📚 We’ll open new cohorts until the end of November to make sure more developers also have a chance to join us later!
Selection process
Once you apply, you need to complete the background survey and submit your Discord username. When you have completed this process, our team will review your answers and get back to you regarding your application!

The curriculum will take you from web3 fundamentals to building on Sui:
- Section 1: Web3 Fundamentals
- Section 2: Overview of Sui Blockchain
- Section 3: Intro to Sui Move Language and Its Syntax
- Section 4: Writing Smart Contracts in Sui Move
- Section 5: Introduction to Sui Frontend Development
What is next for graduates?
After the program, bootcamp graduates will have two big opportunities:
- Meeting with the Sui Foundation team directly, presenting their projects, exploring opportunities for developer grants, and expanding their networks.
- Joining Rise In Web3 Membership program - a free program to support our alumni in building long-term careers in web3. We’ll evaluate the final projects of the graduates and accordingly invite them to interviews to understand their aspirations and how we can best help them find jobs/internships/grants in web3.
