October Marked the Official Kick-off for the Celo MENA APAC Hub 🔥

🇮🇳 India Activations: A Powerful Start in Kolkata

India made one of the strongest entries into the Celo ecosystem this month, with all October events happening in Kolkata.

Developer interest, attendance, and project output exceeded expectations:

• Build On Celo Hackathon Kolkata (130+ participants, 44 projects)
• NIT Kolkata Workshop (250+ participants, 206 projects)
• TIU Kolkata Workshop ( 50+ participants, 39 projects)

In just a few weeks, hundreds of builders explored Celo, experimented with new ideas, and produced projects ranging from simple prototypes to fully working demos.

Kolkata is quickly becoming one of the most active and promising developer hubs in the MENA APAC network.

🇹🇷 Turkey Activations: Community-Led and Growing

Community-led initiatives are at the heart of the Celo ecosystem - and Turkey proved exactly why.

With the launch of the Celo MENA APAC Hub, Rise In ambassadors who wanted to bring Celo opportunities to their local communities organized the first activation in Zonguldak, creating an early wave of interest and momentum.

And this is just the beginning - more community-driven workshops across Turkey are already lined up for the coming months.

What’s Coming Next

As we move into November and December, our focus expands from simply onboarding developers → to helping teams grow, enter new regions, and reach their first real users.

We’ll also be launching local-language workshops across Southeast Asia and Arabia, making it easier for builders to learn, test ideas, and ship their first versions on Celo.

Our goal is to support teams as they:

• gain their first users,
• build early traction,
• and take their projects to the next stage with guidance, resources, and ongoing support.
