Flare Bootcamp and Hackathon Took Place during India Blockchain Week 🇮🇳
In December 2025, Flare partnered with Rise In on a 2-day bootcamp followed by a hackathon during India Blockchain Week. The goal was to onboard developers at scale and help them turn learning into real, production-ready web3 projects.
The bootcamp and hackathon were designed as one clear journey. Builders first learned how to build in Flare, then applied that knowledge in a live building environment.
Key Results
The combined bootcamp and hackathon delivered strong results:
- 800+ developers onboarded
- 280+ developers actively joined the bootcamp and hackathon
- 160+ projects built
More importantly, the projects were complete, practical, and showed clear progress. This confirmed the value of preparing builders before asking them to compete.
Build on Flare Bootcamp
The bootcamp was designed as an intensive, hands-on learning experience spread across two days.
During the bootcamp, participants:
- Joined live technical workshops led by experienced mentors
- Completed onboarding and development environment setup
- Worked through practical examples aligned with Flare use cases
- Received continuous support via mentors and community channels
By the end of the bootcamp, developers were ready to start building without friction. The bootcamp received an average experience rating of 4.8 out of 5.

Why This Activation Worked
Prepared builders perform better
The two-day bootcamp reduced friction during the hackathon. Developers focused on building instead of struggling with basics.
Mentorship that moved projects forward
Mentors were present throughout both phases, providing real-time technical guidance and practical feedback.
One clear journey
By connecting the bootcamp and hackathon, participants knew what to expect from day one and stayed engaged until submission.
What’s Next
The bootcamp-to-hackathon pipeline proved to be an effective model for developer onboarding and activation in India. Future programs may include longer build phases, deeper mentorship, and post-hackathon support to help promising projects continue beyond the event.
